Summer Inspired Thrift Decor Haul

I love sharing thrifty finds with you guys, and I’ve gathered up a summer inspired thrifty decor haul that I’m pretty excited about!

YouTube video

I don’t know about you guys, but I love seeing thrift hauls. They always inspire me to keep thrifting for my own cottage style home, because you truly never know what you’ll find! Not only that, but thrift hauls give me new ideas and encourage me to look through sections of the store for home decor that I might normally pass by.

I know I may have a small thrift store addiction, but what can I say? Finding good deals is a passion of mine and an inexpensive way to keep my home looking beautiful! Facebook Marketplace is another great place to score great deals on home decor, as well as garage and yard sales. I hope this summer inspired thrifty decor haul gives you loads of inspiration to try out thrifting for your own home!

Now I have to admit, this grouping that I’m sharing today isn’t all thrifted decor. But that’s a good thing, right? Sometimes I feel bad as a content creator when I can’t link what I’m sharing or tell you where I got it from. I feel like I’m always finding antique decor or vintage finds at random yard sales or an antique shop; however, today I actually have a few things that were purchased new, so let me start with those before sharing the rest of my thrift store finds!

Woven Baskets

You will never guess where I found this beautiful set of baskets! Guys, these were at my local Dollar General! Can you believe it?! I absolutely love how bright they are, something about them just reminds me of summertime. I’m honestly always finding great things at Dollar General, and usually the prices are pretty reasonable.

The large basket was $8, the small was $6. If you have a Dollar General near you, run and grab these! I can picture them with milk glass pieces on the inside, or hanging from their handles in our kitchen. I can’t wait to find a place for them!

Striped Seat Cushions

These striped seat cushions are lovely aren’t they? I got a set of four of them at Home Goods for just $24.99. They look like linen (one of my favorite summer fabrics) and I just love the oat and white stripe in my dining space on my chairs. I can’t wait to show you how they look in there! I’m a big fan of stores like Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls for home decor! Plus they usually have a clearance section for an even deeper discount on already discounted items.

Vintage Glass Jar

Now let’s get to the thrifted decor! I love all things vintage and this vintage jar was so unique; I loved the metal handle and the ribbed glass. The small mouth makes it a perfect vessel for flowers, and I paid $4.50 at a second hand store.

Ball Jar Salt and Pepper Shakers

How adorable are these salt and pepper shakers? They just have so much charm, and I love that their metal lids are a bit beat up. Imperfections always add more character to a piece, and I only paid $1.75 for the pair! I have an entire post on thrift store kitchen staples if you’d like to check it out!

Straw Hats

I use straw hats in my decor from spring all the way through fall. I love the texture and warmth they bring to a space, and I think the varying shades of beige and yellow make the prettiest decor in an entry, mudroom or bedroom

Both hats are pretty, but the hat with the giant bow is my absolute favorite! And while they make excellent summer decor, they also double as excellent accessories for a summer wardrobe.

White Ceramic Bird

The pretty little white bird is classic and timeless. It was only $3, and if I don’t find a place for it in my home I could always sell it in my booth at the local antique store. I love little antique pieces that add some whimsy and charm to my decor.

Antique Wooden Rolling Pin

Okay so these last few items weren’t actually thrifted, I purchased them at antique stores. But I truly think they are still “thrifty” because they were both priced so fairly!

This gorgeous rolling pin was only $12, and I just love the unique handles as well as the weathering in all the crevices. It will look beautiful in my kitchen, won’t it?! I can’t get enough of wood pieces throughout my home; I love natural materials and neutral colors.

Vintage Peredixo Cream Jar

This pretty little milk glass jar has the original lettering on the lid, and I just fell in love with it! I paid $6 for it and while I’m not sure where I’ll use it, I couldn’t pass it up. I always aim to have one of a kind pieces in my home

  3. Hi Andrea! You found such beautiful items, perfect for the summer! I just had a little suggestion of what you could use the ball jar shakers for, other than salt and pepper. In one, you can put powdered sugar in it so it’s ready to dust the tops of cakes or cookies. And in the other, you can have cinnamon sugar for sprinkling on toast or waffles. I keep those items in shakers and use them all the time.
