Neutral Pumpkins and Eucalyptus Fall Living Room

It’s not your typical fall decor – but neutral pumpkins and eucalyptus stems were just enough to create a fall living room that is simple yet cozy!
Hey friends! Today I’m sharing our living room and how I used neutral pumpkins and eucalyptus to decorate for fall! When I shared our entry and kitchen, I talked about traditional fall colors and how they generally aren’t my favorite to decorate with.

Yes, I love it when the leaves turn and where we live, there’s nothing I love more than driving down a country road to see orange, red and yellow trees as the weather cools!
But when it comes to decorating my own home, I like to keep things more on the neutral side. In order to achieve this look, some of my favorite things to use are neutral pumpkins and eucalyptus. Eucalyptus stems are so beautiful and they honestly work for every season – spring, summer, fall and even winter!

One of the main focal points in our living room is our fireplace, so I started with that area first and worked around the room from there.

I know I said I was trying to keep things minimal this year, but I really wanted our mantel to feel festive with the change in seasons. A few stems on the shelves just weren’t enough for me. So I mixed two different eucalyptus garlands that I got from my friend Joy at Blue Orchid Creations, and I added some other stems as well to really make it feel full.

A simple pumpkin near the fireplace screen felt perfect. I love how all the dark greens tie in together.

I borrowed some simple wooden bowls from my mom for our coffee table and filled them with white pumpkins and more eucalyptus.

I already shared our entryway a few weeks ago, but I took a few more pictures since it flows right into our living space. You can see more of our fall entry here if you’d like!

The little stool near the entry is also from my Mom. I was hunting for another table that was a bit more simple and rustic, plus the one that used to be here was so tipsy and little hands were constantly pulling it over. My Mom suggested I try out this stool and I happened to love it! I think it’s a little orange right now, but I plan to strip it down. It has so much character, doesn’t it?

Another change I made in this space are the wheat and barley prints next to the window! Such a simple, affordable way to create fall vibes without spending a lot!

Of course I added more neutral pumpkins and eucalyptus to each side table near our oversized chairs. It’s minimal but I’m really loving the simplicity!

You also may have noticed our new rug! If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know about it since I was a bit unsure of it at first. I have to say though that it has really grown on me and I honestly think I love it now! I’ll share some close ups in the near future! 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends! Have you decorated for fall yet? Do you love traditional fall colors or are you a neutral girl like me?? Let me know in the comments below!
