Hello, friends! I don’t share my sunroom very often, but this little space plays a big role in my family’s everyday life. It serves as both a music room and a workspace, so I wanted the decor to be just as functional as it is cozy. Over the years, it has become one of my favorite spots in our home. It is a place to work, create, and enjoy the natural light. Today, I thought I would give you a little tour of our cozy sunroom decor and share a few simple ideas that have helped make it feel warm, inviting, and perfect for everyday living.

Cozy Sunroom Decor: A Bright and Welcoming Space

When decorating this room, I wanted it to feel comfortable and functional. The goal was to create a space that feels cozy, yet easy to enjoy every day. Keeping the color palette light and using natural textures helped the room feel bright while still being warm and welcoming.

Cozy Sunroom Decor: Bringing the Outdoors In

One of my favorite parts of decorating really any room is incorporating natural elements. Houseplants, woven baskets, wood accents, and plenty of greenery help bring the outdoors in. Even just a few plants can bring life and freshness into a room. While I love using real stems from my own backyard, faux florals work just as well.

My Favorite Decor Details

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a room feel complete. One of my favorite features in our sunroom is the built-in shelves and bench we added a few years ago. Not only do they provide extra storage, but they also give me a place to display some of my favorite decor pieces. Vintage books, old crocks, and antique paintings add beauty to my shelves.

We also added a built-in desk where my husband, Mike, does much of his sermon preparation. A few months ago, I gave this small wooden drawer chest on his desk a makeover over on YouTube, and it adds the perfect finishing touch to this corner. These custom features have made the room both beautiful and functional, creating a space that truly works for our everyday life.

How We Use Our Sunroom Every Day

While I love how this room looks, what I love most is how often we use it. It’s a peaceful place where Mike can study and prepare his Sunday messages, while the boys spend hours each day practicing the piano. I always love hearing the beautiful music drifting through the house.

We also use this room to store our homeschool supplies, and it’s not uncommon to find the boys reading or working on their lessons here as well. Designing a room around the way your family actually lives makes it so much more enjoyable than trying to create a picture-perfect space.

Decorating with cozy sunroom decor doesn’t require a huge budget or even a complete makeover to create a room you’ll love spending time in.
