Christmas Decor Haul – Natural and Minimal

Hey friends! Today I’m sharing my natural and minimal Christmas decor haul after a weekend away, shopping with my Mom and sisters!

Every year at the beginning of November, my Mom, sisters and I stay at a hotel overnight and go Christmas shopping! We don’t live in an area with a lot of shopping, and trying to fit all of our Christmas shopping in on one day is overwhelming. So years ago we decided to go in on a hotel room and split our shopping into two days!
It’s something we all look forward to every year, and I’m so thankful to have such a sweet relationship with my two sisters Jessica and Kathryn, my sister in law Shannon, and my Mom. They are my best friends and we laugh so hard and have so much fun. We all LOVE Christmas, so it’s a special time for all of us.

The point of the entire trip is to shop for the people you’re buying gifts for, and I in fact found everything I needed for everyone on my list!! BUT I also picked up some fun decor items as well (couldn’t help myself hehe) and thought I would share them with you!
Be sure to watch the YouTube video above to see all of the footage of our shopping adventures! We had so much fun and while I could have gone crazy buying things, I really tried to restrain myself and be very intentional about what I purchased.
The first thing I grabbed were some brown velvet pillows that I picked up at Marshalls. You can find some similar ones, here! I though they were so pretty and had a cozy holiday feel.

I also picked up a few more cedar branches as well as a gorgeous cedar wreath from Marshalls as well.

I love using ribbon all throughout my decor, so when we stopped at Hobby Lobby I was sure to pick up some gray velvet ribbon as well as some shatter proof pine cone ornaments that have a mercury glass feel. While I was at Hobby Lobby I also grabbed a beautiful bell garland for just $10, you can find one similar here! I can’t wait to show you where I used it.

Lastly, I grabbed some chunky, cable knit stockings at TJ Maxx. We needed an extra one for Isaiah this year, and I wanted to replace a few more with these lovely textured ones so I bought three all together.

The overall feel that I’m going for is a natural, minimal Christmas feel with a bit of a rustic vibe. As I was decorating the tree this year, I kept putting ornaments on it and then taking them off again. I just really love things simple this year, and I can’t wait to show you the progress I’ve made!
I hope you enjoyed this Christmas decor haul and you all have the very best thanksgiving, I’m so very thankful for ALL of you! This blog is made possible by you – all of my wonderful readers.

I found cedar garlands at Marshall’s (six and nine feet). But, no wreath.
Oh that is an amazing find! I had no luck finding garlands this year, I love cedar!
