How I Incorporate Beautiful Landscape Wall Art in My Home Decor + FREE Printable!

Today I am sharing how I incorporate landscape wall art in my home decor. I have a few originals in my home, but prints work just as nicely and instantly add character to any room.
Hello friends, today I’m so excited to share with you how I use landscape wall art in home decor. I love art so much, especially landscape prints. They bring warmth and character into any space often bringing beautiful outdoor scenes to life.
Before we get deeper into this topic, towards the bottom of this post I share a free printable of one of my original paintings! This is part of The Four Seasons Printable Collection of FREE printables I’m sharing today in collaboration with several of my amazing blogger friends! Be sure to collect them all at the bottom of this post!

If you aren’t new here, you know I have many landscape paintings throughout my home decor; a few of my favorites are hung in our living room and dining room. There is such a wide range of possibilities when it comes to art, but they always seem to add a sense of calm into neutral decor.
Beautiful wall art can help you immerse yourself in the tranquility of seascapes, rustic rural scenes, calming river views, and breathtaking sunsets – a collection of landscape prints designed to instantly uplift the mood as you step into a room.
Why choose landscape art?
I choose landscape wall art in my home because it brings an element of warmth into my cozy cottage inspired design. Several of my framed print purchases are reproductions, but I love when I am able to find original paintings.

One of my favorite originals I have framed in our dining room. It is a landscape oil painting I found in Germany which makes it even more special to me. The exquisite details in the painting, even though it is a smaller piece gives me inspiration to want to pick up painting again on my own.
How do you display antique and vintage wall art?
I love to display antique and vintage wall art in either a group of two or individually, but there is no wrong way to display your own wall art. I have seen beautiful gallery walls displaying both framed art and canvas wall art and the combination is beautiful.

I personally have art hung on different walls in each room, and I even have it displayed on shelves in some spaces like my dining room. Most of the time, I love the frames that come with the print when I purchase it, whether it be at a thrift or antique store, but don’t let the frame deter you if you love a piece you have found.
Most art can easily be reframed, and beautiful vintage and antique frames are very easy to find, especially at thrift stores, but often at antique stores as well.

How do you buy real landscape wall art when you’re on a budget?
As I mentioned above, most of my landscape wall art in home decor was found thrifting or antiquing. Thrift stores are of course hit and miss, but I have found some incredible pieces thrifting before and they are always priced excellently.
Another way to buy real landscape wall art is to opt for a printable of the original. There are so many options available right now with the internet and art is so easy to find online. I even sell several printables of my own original artwork which you can order today here.

If you are purchasing a downloadable printable of original art, I suggest finding a website that can print it with a texture or on different paper such as mpix.com. I printed several of my pieces with texture and I could not believe how real it looked when it came to me. Most of the time sites will offer discounts and free shipping as well, so this is a great way to get beautiful art for your home.
Whether you order canvas prints from your downloadable purchases or just prints to be framed, the beauty of this option is to create them any size and shape that will fit perfectly into your home decor.

Where can you get free landscape wall art?
Once again I have all of my original landscape wall art for sale right here on my blog, but today I am so excited to give away one of my favorite prints, “The Wind Behind Your Sails.” This print features a sailboat on a windy day out on a bay with hints of trees and greenery on the horizon.
I created this composition for a summer collection I released a few years ago now, but it works perfectly for spring decor as well. The subtle blues and greens are so calming to the viewer.

To receive your own downloadable printable of “The Wind Behind Your Sails”, simply enter your email address below and it will be delivered to your inbox. Where is the best place to print your landscape paintings?
I personally have not printed any of my downloads yet, but both my sister and a close friend have gone through Mpix and loved the results! There are so many options to choose from, like printing on canvas or even adding texture to your prints. Like I said, I haven’t personally used their site but from what I’ve heard they seem to be a great option!
What dimensions are your prints? Can they be resized?
Most of my paintings are uploaded as a 5×7 print. In my Summer Play collection there is a beach scene (entitled “Sandy Shores”) that I uploaded as an 8×10 since the original was much larger.
As far as resizing the images, I will always upload them at a very high resolution so that they can be resized. Most sites will recommend specific sizes based on the original image, so for example Mpix will only let you enlarge my 5×7 prints to 11×14 inches. If you do purchase a painting, or recieve this free download, I would love to see it displayed, please tag me on Facebook or Instagram!

I hope these tips I have shared on how to incorporate beautiful landscape wall art in home decor have inspired you today friends, and of course I hope you are able to download the free print as well! They are all beautiful, but, I just need to narrow down the selection! I will call attention to the print, and include a link where they can buy their own.
