Christmas Mini Tour and Exciting News!

Hello friends!

I feel like I have so much to share since my last blog post, so I suppose Iโ€™ll get right to it! If you follow me on Instagram, you already know by now that we are expecting again!

I am almost 17 weeks pregnant, and while we are so excited to be having a third child in May of next year, this pregnancy has been the hardest by far. With both of my boys I experienced mild morning sickness, so I was expecting the same this time around. Without getting into too much detail, letโ€™s just say that Iโ€™ve spent more time next to a toilet during this pregnancy than I did with both of my boys combined. The nausea has been rough, but Iโ€™ve also had awful headaches, many times for which pain medicine does nothing. I think the hardest part about the past three months, however, has just been the fatigue. Guys, I am SO tired, ALL the time. Iโ€™m sure it has something to do with my 2 and 4 year old little boysโ€ฆbut my lack of energy has really had me down I’ll admit.ย

You see, I am the type of person that loves to make lists, rise early, and get as much done as humanly possible in a single day’s time. I am always working on something, whether itโ€™s a DIY project, church related, or even just housework. I might sit for a few minutes during nap time to eat something and scroll through Pinterest, but Iโ€™m truly not the type to sit for very long. The fact that I am finally writing a blog post feels like a huge accomplishment for me!

Maybe some of you can relateโ€ฆor maybe some have no idea what Iโ€™m talking about. With my boys, the second trimester arrived with a burst of energy. I began nesting like crazyโ€ฆorganizing every single closet and drawer down to the smallest thumb tack. Purging and cleaning my kitchen floors with a toothbrush – true story!! I keep asking my husband, โ€œwhen is that burst of energy going to come? When am I going to feel like myself again? What is wrong with me??โ€

When I started this blog, one of the things I was most excited for was Christmas. I planned on sharing DIY projects, easy Christmas crafts for children, money saving decor tips, maybe even Christmas cookie recipes. I could not wait to blog about my favorite time of year. Even after we found out that I was pregnant, I looked ahead at the calendar and thought, โ€œI should be feeling normal again by Thanksgiving.โ€ Well, that never happened, and here I am, sharing my decor with you only two weeks before Christmas. I am learning to let things go and remind myself that itโ€™s ok if my plans donโ€™t work out exactly the way I wanted them to, and I’m so thankful for the amazing, supportive husband the Lord has blessed me with! Mike has been such a help in so many ways.ย

So hereโ€™s a mini Christmas home tour (I guess that’s what I’ll call it), if youโ€™re still interested! I know everyoneโ€™s homes are probably already decorated for Christmas, but maybe youโ€™ll find inspiration for next year, or if you are like me, maybe you just like to look at homes decorated for the holidays because it makes you happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

When I first decorated for Christmas, I only had two stockings hung. I was on the hunt for two larger stockings for our boys that were similar to ours but still somewhat different.

Just last weekend my Mom, sisters and I did some last minute Christmas shopping, and I was so happy to find two more at Jo-Ann Fabrics! I love the fur and the little bit of sparkle they have!

I kept our tree pretty simple this year, and I love the way it came together.

One of my favorite things to decorate with when it comes to Christmas decor is ribbon. It makes everything feel so festive!

I can’t wait to fill my dining buffet with yummy Christmas treats!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you enjoyed the tour, my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by, and please have a very Merry Christmas!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Much love,

Andrea
