Roundup – 5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas for Kids

Ever since we made over our boy’s bedroom, I am so excited to decorate it for Christmas! Today I am sharing 5 nostalgic Christmas tree ideas that have inspired me!
This post is sponsored by Puleo International. All opinions are my own.
Now that we are into November, I’m starting to think about Christmas decor! Not to worry, we cherish Thanksgiving and all that it stands for. As a blogger though, I love to inspire my readers earlier in the season as they begin to prepare for the holidays.
As most of you know, we gave our boys’ bedroom a makeover earlier this year. I just love how their space came together and the moment we finished it, I could already imagine it all decorated for Christmas! I plan on hanging greenery on their shelves, as well as adding a Christmas tree in the opposite corner of their bed.
I went on Pinterest looking for inspiration for their Christmas tree, and today I thought I would round up all of the ideas I found for you here, in a blog post!
I am working with my good friends over at Puleo International again this year. They sent me the 6.5 foot Pre-Lit Aspen Fir for the boy’s bedroom and I love it SO much! These trees look so realistic and they are so easy to assemble.

I also love the fact they are pre-lit so there is no wrestling with Christmas lights, and set up is so smooth with three separate sections that fit one on top of the other.

If you haven’t already checked out the YouTube video linked above, be sure take a look – I am so excited to be doing another giveaway with Puleo International this year and entering is to win is so simple!
Now that I know I have the perfect tree for their bedroom, it is time to choose a theme! I *think* I want to go for a vintage toy themed Christmas tree in their room, but I found so many neat ideas, you guys will have to help me decide!
5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas – Vintage Toys
Isn’t this tree from Ella Claire & Co. so much fun?! I love all of the oversized vintage toys that Kristen used as ornaments. I also love the antique box she used for a tree base! My boys would love a tree like this – I might have to start hunting for some vintage toys!

5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas – Vintage Ornaments and Decor
This simple but beautiful tree from my sweet friend Amanda over at Sincerely, Marie Designs features classic Christmas colors and ornaments. You know how much I love finding vintage Christmas ornaments while antiquing or thrifting! This tree would look beautiful in any room of the house, but the mini striped stockings create that wonderful, nostalgic feel that I’m going for in the boy’s room.

5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas – Ski Lodge
Even though I’m leaning towards a vintage toy themed Christmas tree, when I saw this amazing tree from Kelly at The Lily Pad Cottage I fell in love! Isn’t this so creative and beautiful? I even have a pair of antique skis I could use!

5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas – Mix of Classic Christmas & Vintage Toys
This next tree is also from Amanda’s blog over at Sincerely, Marie Designs! I just love this tree so much. Isn’t the Santa hat as a tree topper such a cute idea for a little boy’s room?! The DIY drum Christmas tree collar that she created is just about the sweetest thing ever!

5 Nostalgic Christmas Tree Ideas – Simple and Classic Toys
This very minimal design from Martha Stewart is another adorable Christmas tree idea for a child’s bedroom. I love the learning theme and how different letters and alphabet cards and blocks were used as ornaments!

After seeing all of this amazing Christmas tree inspiration, I am so excited to decorate our new tree from Puleo International in the boy’s bedroom this year! Don’t forget to watch the YouTube video above to find out how to enter and win your very own!
I love each of these nostalgic Christmas Tree ideas and I am sure I will be drawing inspiration in different ways from all of them. Do you decorate your children’s rooms for Christmas? I would love to read your ideas in the comments!

It’s always magazine worthy. You have the most amazing touch for making the most simple things look so very special. I had to go check out all the other ladies that you shared because I knew if you liked them than so would I. All the tree’s are beautiful. I remember how lovely yours was last year, and that was the catalyst for me to go with a much simpler design and I loved it so much I’m going with it again this year.
