We’re Expecting! – Pregnant with Baby #4

|
We're expecting again!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we’re expecting again! I’ve been keeping this little secret from you guys for about a month, and I’m so excited to fill you all in!

Today I am ten weeks pregnant with baby number 4, and the boys are just thrilled. In fact, one of the reasons I’m sharing so early is because my five year old likes to tell people, and it’s getting harder and harder to keep it a secret! I’ve mentioned before that Mike and I wanted to try one more time for another child, and I feel so thankful that God has blessed us yet again.

We don’t take this precious life for granted, and I’d so appreciate your prayers for this pregnancy and all that comes with it. Our baby is due August 13th, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a July baby. Our oldest boys were both born on their due dates, but our third was twelve days early! We’ll see what happens with this one. 🙂

Pregnant with baby number 4! We're Expecting Again!

Pregnant with Baby #4 – How are you feeling?

I will say, this first trimester has been my easiest first trimester yet. I was very sick with all three of my boys and threw up several times throughout those first weeks of pregnancy. With this baby, I haven’t thrown up once, and I’m counting my blessings.

I do feel sick on occasion, and usually as long as I eat something the nausea goes away. When I found out I was pregnant, I prayed so hard that God would help me through the sickness. I get pretty emotional thinking about how good He has been to me thus far.

We're Expecting Again! Pregnant with baby number 4!

For what I lack in nausea, I make up for in sheer exhaustion.  My motivation has been at about a zero, and it seems like all I want to do lately is get cozy and take a nap. It takes everything in me to push forward and get things done around here, and I’m pretty much doing the bare minimum.

I have noticed that when I eat eat high protein meals with healthy fats, my energy levels are much higher and I am able to get more accomplished. I have really been trying to avoid sugar in the mornings so that I don’t get that afternoon slump. Is it awful that I am so jealous of my two year old when I lay him down for his nap? Hahahaha

Are you hoping it’s a girl this time?

Obviously I would be thrilled to have a girl, but I’ll go ahead and give you the classic answer. A healthy baby is what we are praying for, and this time around I don’t think I want to find out if it’s a girl or a boy.

A few of my friends waited until birth to find out the gender of their babies, and they say it’s the sweetest surprise ever. I’ve always wanted to experience that feeling and if I can resist the temptation, I think I might hold off this time around! We’ll see. 🙂

We have some very exciting news to share! We're Expecting Again!

Now that you’re expecting again, will you continue to blog?

My plan is to continue blogging and creating video for you guys, but one of the main reasons I’m sharing my pregnancy so early is because I want you all to understand in case there are weeks you don’t hear from me.

Like I said, my goal is to stay present here and continue to create. But I also want to show myself grace if there are difficult days ahead. Until I can get over this very tiring stage of pregnancy, my posts will probably be a little simple (don’t expect any major room makeovers anytime soon haha).

I think this is the earliest that I have ever shared a pregnancy, and really it’s just been harder and harder to hide. My boys are older and they like to tell people, and this might sound crazy but I feel like I might already be showing! I don’t know, maybe all those holiday treats just got the best of me, ha! Either way, it feels good to finally let everyone know.

My husband has been amazing as usual, helping out so much around the house. I really don’t know what I would do without him.

Expecting Again! Pregnant with Baby number 4!

I so appreciate all of your love and support, as always. Thank you guys for taking the time to read my blog posts and leave the sweetest comments. You all mean the world to me!

  8. So very happy for you and your family. My children are grown, but I still remember each pregnancy so well. My nausea became greater with each pregnancy. With my first I was nauseous, but never sick on my stomach. That pregnancy I was the most exhausting though. I know resting might sound impossible with three boys, but try if you can. Put them and yourself to bed early. Prayers to you for a healthy pregnancy and for a healthy baby. I didn’t know the sex of mine until birth. It was so joyful!

I love the family picture you shared with three joyful little boys looking excited in this shot! Just think, your youngest will become a big brother, too ☺️!!
Our daughter had their third baby three and a half months ago, a little sister joining two big brothers, ages six and three! This last time they chose to learn the gender beforehand, mainly to prepare should there be a baby girl on the way! We were all completely gobsmacked by little Samantha, Sweetie pie! All three of our Kids’ families had all boys, totaling six grandsons for us! Welcome surprise and the best part – her big brothers are smitten by her, while she adores them!!

Btw, for our third, I was in maternity clothes at month and a half, measuring that amount of time ahead in size, until the very end, when he started measuring more closely to his expected size!
Interesting how different each pregnancy can be, lol!

  17. Praise the Lord! I’ve been praying that He would give you a baby girl since you mentioned in a Q&A video that you would like to try for a girl in the future. Don’t take this as negative, but I thought in your last video you looked very tired. I guessed that you might be pregnant! I will now pray for a healthy baby and that God gives you strength for each day. Congratulations to you and Mike!

  18. Congratulations Andrea! I’m so happy for you. I’ll hope your pregnancy will be easy this time. God bless all of you ♡.

  19. Congratulations Andrea! I am so happy for you, your husband, and the boys! Please get your rest, even though it may be difficult some days. I know from watching your videos you are a very organized lady so you will do very well! …..no matter what comes your way. Our Lord will give you the strength that you need each day.My prayers are being sent your way for a healthy baby. If you get an opportunity, can you share with me what type of camera (very large camera around my neck as you say in one of your videos), you use and photo equipment ? You are such a sweet dear young lady and I wish you all of the luck and good health that this world and life has to offer!. Cynthia

  20. Congratulations!! May God keep you and your baby healthy and safe! And the rest of the family as well of course!
I hope you can resist the urge to find out. It is the most wonderful feeling to find out at the time of birth. We did it for my first baby and it was just a beautiful moment for us and the entire family! My next pregnancy we found out ahead of time because they were twins and I was high risk, so we needed to have everything ready. It was a good thing as I spend months in the hospital and had them at 27 weeks. My miracle baby girls are now 18! Just as precious glad I could pray for them by name instead. So it all worked out as God always knows what He’s doing.
    Blessings to you all!

  21. CONGRATULATIONS!! Praise God!!

  24. Hi Andrea, I’m praying you will all be blessed on this of growing your sweet family. Your home looks almost identical to my grandparents home. I would love to know if it is….heehee. I respect your personal space. Especially preparing for a new little so exciting!! I also live in Michigan. Won’t live anywhere else, even though I do dabble in thoughts of a brighter winter season. I am totally in love with the feeling that your home presents. A simpler, cozy uncomplicated space. Beautiful colors, textures and smart eye for the bonus touches the just invite us in. I’m struggling w decluttering, im moving soon and I need to do a Destash seriously. I love the calm peaceful uncluttered look and feel of your home. Any tips that might help me purge? I’m also a fit and repurpose type person.those two sides collide with the crafting side of me as well. Don’t tell me it’s hopeless, im beginning to enter the phase of overwhelming chaos!! Enjoy this season of life babies grow and turn into amazing people but that. Mothers heart….❤

    1. I am not sure on purging, but I do know it is an incredible feeling! I would suggest just doing one thing at a time, I wrote a blog post on Spring Cleaning and I feel like you could apply a lot of those principals to purging if you want to look back, I hope this helps! Thank you for your sweet words!
