When you hear the word cozy, you probably don’t associate it with springtime. Generally, cozy home decor is heavily emphasized during the cold winter months, but I like to keep my home feeling cozy all year long! For me, a cozy spring home brings in the warmth and charm of natural elements into my living space.

A while ago, I wrote a post about hygge home inspiration and how to bring warmth, comfort and joy into your home. I believe you can absolutely incorporate hygge into spring decor! As a homemaker, having a comfortable and joyful home is always a goal of mine. In this mini cozy spring home tour, I hope to share with you ways I keep my home feeling cozy all year long!

Spring can tend to be a busy time with a lot of fun spring projects and an entire week full of school, sports and outdoor activities. However, today is the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the season that can be fleeting if we don’t stop and savor it! If you have lilacs in your yard, you know the truth of this statement.

Lilacs are probably my favorite flowers; their sweet fragrance and purple hues bring so much joy and coziness! I always fill my home with lilac arrangements because I know all too well how quickly their beauty fades. They are a wonderful reminder to “stop and smell the flowers” – relax, slow down and enjoy the beauty of the spring season!

If you follow me over on Instagram or Facebook, you have probably seen my feed filled with lilacs. Fresh flowers and blooms are probably one of the best ways to incorporate coziness in your spring decor. A spring color palette of yellow tulips, white daffodils and purple lilacs will bring the beauty of the outdoors into your home.

Another way to add coziness to your spring home is of course fresh scents of spring like lavender or citrus. Spring scents invoke a nostalgic feeling; like the end of another school year or playing out in the yard. I love the smell of lilacs in my home, but I’m also a sucker for the warm glow of a lit candle.

My favorite non-toxic, clean ingredient candles are made by Antique Candle Co. Antique Candle Co. is probably one of my favorite collaborations, as they are committed to clean, long-lasting, and even burning candles thanks to high-quality materials. Plus their premium fragrance oils smell absolutely heavenly and have up to 80 hours of burn time!

Clean Cotton with notes of linen, citrus and woods is the perfect scent to burn in a cozy spring entryway for a fresh scent as you enter your home. If you love country living and herb gardens, Fresh Cut Herbs with notes of basil, spearmint and apple is an amazing spring scent to have your home smelling fresh and feeling cozy! Lately I’ve been absolutely loving Sun-Kissed Citrus with notes of orange, pineapple and berries! It is such a delicious scent that I have burning in my kitchen all day!

Another way I like to add some coziness to my home is through artwork! I added this little framed vintage artwork to my kitchen wall next to my new English Cottage inspired vent hood, and it brings so much warmth and joy to this space!

I love to hang landscape artwork throughout my home to bring the beauty of the outdoors in. I find many of my pieces at thrift and antique stores! If you find a piece of art that you love, but you’re not crazy about the frame, you can also find beautiful, vintage frames at thrift stores for very reasonable prices.

I also sell my artwork if you are looking for some landscapes for your home. I also sometimes share a free printable of the week so you can download my artwork free of charge! Simply enter your email and it will be sent directly to your mailbox.

Well friends, I hope you enjoyed this mini cozy spring home tour and my lilac arrangements! Home to me is where comfort, joy and warmth is found. Fresh flowers, diving smelling candles and beautiful artwork can really add so much coziness to your home! What are some ways you make your home cozy in the spring? Andrea,
Thank you for sharing the evolution of your kitchen over the years. It is perpetually inspiring & encouraging to see how the thoughtful, incremental changes can and do add up over the years.
Warmly,
Rachel
Andrea, Hi! Your house is so pretty inside and outside. I added about 50 houseplants and love how they have added a ‘cozy sanctuary’ vibe to our home. I have fake florals, too. I like nostalgic things like things that belonged to my grandmother. There is this quirky, colorful set of dishes like her cookie jar and teapot and a few other pieces, and they remind me of her. There is yellow, orange, red, and green and it is a fruit themed dish collection. Jars and cups. No plates. They are for display only. I like little bright pops of color and vintage things, but not in a tacky way. I think it is southern and nostalgic. I don’t overdo a theme, but I love the little things, but against a neutral white base. I don’t go “busy” with it, and I am not buying more decor. I have colorful quilts, but then I always stick to white comforters on the bed and plain white sheets, not color layered on color on color. Our house is small. I feel like I decorate “quirky southern grandma” style, if that is a thing! And I am not grandma aged at all! 😆
