Shrimp Tacos with Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Slaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Guacamole

  • 2 avocados
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

For Serving

  • Small tortillas
  • Shredded cheese
  • Red onion fresh or pickled

Instructions

  1. Mix all slaw ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. Mash avocados with seasoning to make guacamole.
  3. Season shrimp with olive oil and spices.
  4. Cook shrimp in a skillet or grill for 2–3 minutes per side.
  5. Warm or grill tortillas.
  6. Assemble tacos with shrimp, slaw, guacamole, cheese, and onions.

Notes

  1. Slaw can be made ahead for better flavor.
  2. Add hot sauce for extra kick.
